3 Reasons Why Our Skin Health & Body Fat are Linked

It takes more than just a good skin care cream to achieve youthful skin.  Fat metabolism has a significant impact.  Our fat cells store both fat-soluble substance, i.e.:

  • cholesterol,
  • vitamins (A,D, E, & K) that promote healing of skin as well as hair regrowth, AND
  • toxins that:
    • disrupt normal cellular function and
    • caused abnormal skin changes (e.g. rough, dry skin that ages fast, experiences acne, eczema, psoriasis, and other rashes).

Limited natural sunlight in autumn and winter limits access to high-energy solar-charged warm (tropical) weather fruits and vegetables.  As a result, our bodies produce less energy if we don’t consume other high-energy foods. Hence, we enter a LOW ENERGY STATE in AUTUMN & WINTER..  Our brains perceive this "low energy state", which in turn, promotes:

  • increase in our cravings and consumption of high starch, high sugar, and high fat foods, resulting in
  • a greater tendency to GAIN body fatand so
  • our toxin load tends to also increase.

So, skin issues are prevalent in cold weather months.
